Anyone “who is willing” (35:5, 21, 22, 26, 29; 36:2,3) really stuck out to me in this reading. There’s no disdain for those who were not willing, no rebuke. Instead there is an emphasis on the men and women, the craftsmen and skilled workers who joyfully came together to create the Tent of Meeting. The sense I get is they were excited to use their skills for the work of the Lord. Lord may I willingly offer whatever gifts, skills, talents and abilities you have given me for your work here on Earth. May I do this with a humble heart, not judging anyone in the process, but rather honoring you and giving you the glory through all things. Amen.
