  1. “Lord, you are my God; I will exalt you and praise your name” (25:1) reminds me of a Rich Mullins song (Step By Step) where the verse proclaims, “God you are my God and I will ever praise you.” For we know there is a future where “the Sovereign Lord will wipe away the tears from all faces; he will remove his people’s disgrace from all the earth. The Lord has spoken.” (Isaiah 25:8) What great assurance! Knowing this gives us great comfort as we encounter various trials for the sake of God’s kingdom. Thank you Lord for wiping away our tears, for the ultimate comfort. Help us to follow you each day, step by step.
